| Designer and Owner Comments: |
| Designer Comments: The school is organized around a central commons which serves as the dining room and social heart of the school. The administration offices, guidance office, auditorium, media center and gymnasium are entered directly from the commons which facilitates way-finding and allows the commons to serve as lobby for all major events. The main entrance to the academic wing is also from the commons, but the classrooms are separated from the commons by the media center and fire stairs which provide a noise buffer to the activity areas. The vocational classrooms are fully integrated into the three story classroom wings. The science classrooms are located or hinge of the two wings which allow them to be arranged departmentally or in academic houses. |
