| Designer and Owner Comments: |
| Designer Comments: The Elementary School is a child-centered, welcoming and environmentally sensitive facility that respects and supports the local community. The three-story elementary school will accommodate 585 students and include art, science, and music rooms along with a media center and multipurpose room. In addition, the facility will integrate the districts policy 9040 for high performance design criteria with certification through the US Green Building Councils LEED Green Building Rating System. The site design includes parking, service court, bike parking and access, sidewalks, playgrounds, playing field, community garden, bus drop off, and car drop off loop that doubles as hard surface play during the school day with the provided gate system. |
