| Designer and Owner Comments: |
| Designer Comments: Moseley Architects was selected to design a new prototypical elementary school for this county school district. The new elementary schools provide learning space for 722 students, with a core space of 800 for future expansion. Each school includes 32 classrooms, a gymnasium, media center, art room, and cafeteria. The schools are the first in the County to pursue Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification with the U.S. Green Building Council and each achieved LEED Gold certification. In its implementation of green building strategies, the Henderson County School system takes an active role in modeling serious energy conservation measures and environmental awareness for students, staff, and community. |
