Designer Comments:  This new two-story elementary school facility was built on a 16.5 acre site in Central NC. The school site will become part of a planned, mixed-use, walkable community (to include institutional, commercial, retail and residential buildings). The new elementary school will support 960 students. The facility includes classrooms, administrative offices, media center, stage, basketball court, kitchen, dining and other support spaces. Playground and sport fields are included on site. A stream runs along the southern boundary of the site and will be developed as a pedestrian greenway area which will connect to the greater greenway system of the surrounding community. The school was built with qualified school construction bonds (QSCB).
