SB 914 - Additions & Revisions to Public Building Construction Laws
Law Effective Date: January 1, 2002
Part I- Section 3.1 Minority Business participation goals.
Section 3.1(b) states “A public entity shall establish prior to solicitation for bids the good faith efforts that it will take to make it feasible for minority businesses to submit successful bids or proposals for the contracts for building projects”
Section 3.1(a through j) describe the process and documentation necessary to accomplish a minority business good faith effort on the part of all parties involved.
If a project solicited bids prior to January 1, 2002 it may continue under the rules and laws in effect at that time.
