2005/2006 Facility Needs Survey
Every five years, local boards of education are required by G.S. 115C 521(a) to submit their Facility Needs Assessment (long range plans) to the State Board of Education. It is time again to fill out the Facility Needs Survey 2005/06. The results of this survey will assess projected facility needs for the next 5-10 years, and be used statewide and locally.
School Planning, DPI, has developed a uniform reporting system to assist the
local school units in preparing lists of needs. The form of the report is very
similar to that of the 2000/01 Survey. A reporting database is being
provided on a CD-ROM disk by mail to all Superintendents. The database was
created in Access 2000 but does not require a version of Access to be installed.
In order to access the database, you will need a unit number and password,
provided with the disk.
